Hamilton 4 Jan. 1810

Sir,

You will lay me under a lasting obligation by informing me, please?, whether there is a vacant lot in any one of the townships in this District— at the same time specifying the lot, concession & Township- The Reason of my troubling you on this occasion is that I can get a grant of a reserve lot close by the School House provided there is a vacant lot to which the Reserve can be removed- I am informed there are a few vacant lots in the 10th. Concession of Hamilton- I beg you will excuse my troubling you on this subject- but your compliance will really render me an essential services.

I am your obedient servant

Richard Cockrill
