OF INTEREST TO OUR NEW OWNERS IN THE UNITED STATES

What if I want to show my pup in the United States?
All Dinsdale Standard Schnauzers are individually registered by us, the breeder, with the Canadian Kennel Club (CKC).  Pups are eligible for registration with the American Kennel Club (AKC).  You will receive your CKC registration paper within six months of date of birth.  For further information on how to register your pup with the AKC please visit their web site  http://www.akc.org/registration/specreg.cfm  the procedure is inexpensive and simple.  Once the dog is dual registered it may be shown in both AKC and CKC events (conformation, obedience, agility to name a few)
What is involved in crossing the border from Canada to the US with my new pup?
Border crossing is a simple procedure as long as you have the necessary paperwork, which we provide for you.  The US Customs requires a Veterinary 'Certificate of Health' for all pups under 12 weeks of age, this will either be given to you, by us, to show at the border or, if the pup is being sent by air it will be given to the appropriate airline personel, by us, at the time of departure.
Please note there are NO additional Duty or Taxes payable when you take your pet home with you.
