Tink is enjoying spring, however, she REALLY misses the snow.  The last time it snowed she went crazy, running all over and stopping fast to see all the snow and slop fly up and then try to chase all of the splatter!  Now she goes out searching for little hints of the white stuff, but it is getting more scarce daily.  Now I believe she is rodent searching!  Quite the inquisitive little one.
She is about the same size as her mom right now, and I don't expect her to get much bigger.  She is so incredibly brilliant and loaded with personality.  She is very convinced that she has the brains in the family, at least the animal clan.  She had a few run ins with my husband where she was attempting to play a "dominant role", however I believe for the most part we have corrected that issue.  What can I say, she thinks women should rule.

She (Wicket) really is great and we all just love her to death. I still take her to the off leash area 3 or 4 times a week and she plays well with other dogs and is very obedient to commands. She will run off but comes right back when she's called. She is a joy to have around the house and makes a wonderful companion. Thanks again for trusting us with her welfare.

Just letting you know all is well with Schatzie and us. As I have said before we hardly know how we managed before he came into our lives. It's been 4 years already!! He loves to watch the traffic from his chair in the living room. He certainly has an eagle eye and misses nothing in the surrounding area. I doubt that our neighbours who are now a considerable distance from our house are aware that he is protecting their property as well.

He loves to run on the 5 acres we moved to a year or so ago.  He has been very good with my grandchildren as well.  He loves to go for rides in the truck with Vern.

Won't bore you any further. Suffice it to say we are all very happy with one another.
  Sincerely Vern and Marie

Sam went to school last night. He was very good and will start a more advanced class next week! His downs and sits were excellent, but the heeling was a little sloppy because he was looking around to find Gary and I was having to be careful not to run over a couple of smaller dogs that wanted to see him. New dog broke the "pack" order they had established.

Ginny commented on what a lovely dog he was and that the people that gave him up could not have really wanted a dog.  He continues to have a distraction maxim once a day, but we work him through it with "busy" time.
He visited Grandma's yesterday for dinner and was well behaved, although her chihuahua did not think much of him, but he was very gentle and respectful with her.

Hi Lori,
Thought I would let you know how much we love Jet. We are so happy to have him. He is almost 7 years old. Can't believe it. He still acts like he is 1. He gets so much attention and is so much a part of our family. Lots of walks,  food and loving. He is still very head strong and full of mischief. We read in a book that they call a schnauzer the dog with the " human brain". I truly believe this. Many times I have said that Jet is so much smarter than me. He truly is a great companion and my very best friend.

Gabby thinks she's a retriever and if there's water around, she's in it.   Her coat is extremely course and her ears are now quite beautiful.  I'm learning to groom her and am making good progress, but Kristin is really terrific at it.  She is a loving, intelligent and wonderful dog, trains easily and is an "in your face" kinda gal.  We adore her,  and she and Breeze are great buddies.  Their greatest joy right now is chasing each other in the snow.  We are very fortunate.

Take care.

Joshua is doing very well at home. Last week he needed to go outside to the washroom and had barked at the door. He had just been out so we told him to be quiet. He then went and got one of his plastic bags and started waving it around. So we got up and took him out and sure enough, He went. What a dog!!!!

We just got back from a 6 day camping trip. Joshua fits in well at camp. He can be very protective of his territory but is learning to settle when we tell him to.

We are taking a break from obedience, until the fall. That does not mean that training has stopped though. He has been to Upper Canada Village, on a horse drawn wagon ride, boat rides, and even on a small train. We try to take him everywhere. He is simply wonderful.

Fiddle has a strong resemblance to Frodo, and by the sound of it, in personality too! He is doing very well, and is such a character.  He goes to an off leash dog park, almost every day and plays VERY well with all the other dogs.  He's a relentless pest at times, but he always finds some one with the same energy that will play wit him.  He loves his Frisbee, ADORES sticks, and will play fetch with a tennis ball anytime.  He's not great with the "bringing it back" part yet, but we're working on it.  We've taught him to get the newspaper from the front door and take to someone (with a little bit of help;).  It at least gets there in one piece!

Well, as you can tell, we love our little man.  He is a ton fun!  The secret is lots n'lots of exercise!  He lives for his walks and runs!  We'll send some pics.
PS: I'm thinking (and working on Tom) about getting another one!

Take care, cheers, Linda, Toronto, ON

Jessie is going on a big trip as we are moving to Nova Scotia this summer. She is very excited to meet her mother and sister Lia,  if we could have some contact information it would be great. Our house hunting now includes requirements for Lady Jessica, fenced or fence-able back yard. We will be going to our last puppy class next week, we still have a few things to work on and are finding consistency the key to everything. She continues to be a joy for our family. Due for her first grooming, I'm hesitating, feels like cutting the curls off a one year old baby, I don't want her to loose her puppy look. She is sooo soft and sweet. We are now officially dog people.................and are very glad Jessie is number 1. We will still keep in touch (will send off new e-mail and land address) and let you know how our little girl is doing.

The Harding Family
Stella is quite a little character for us over here, all the energy of a large dog in quick strong little burst, whether she is running or playing with other dogs there is no problem for her in keeping up, incredible athletic ability....and as you can see in the photo's she is quite the clown when playing at home with us, and can also be a terror who needs time outs from time to time. ......and the hilarious howling at sirens, like a wonderful muffled jazz trumpet...and loud!, every time she hears them, which is often here. Oh Yes, and the trumpet theme song from M.A.S.H . gets a wonderful howling sing along. Her and the boys ( Paris and Allie) often have a sing-along too.hillarious stuff.
