About Us

Thank you for visiting our website!  The Castleton-Grafton Pastoral Charge is a two point charge located in the rolling hills of Northumberland, just east of Cobourg.  Our charge supports approximately 125 families and anyone who seeks a path to God through Jesus Christ is welcome. Both churches have Sunday worship, an active United Church Women's group, choir and Sunday school. Feel free to drop in on one of our worship services - we're sure you'll feel right at home.

Castleton United Church

Castleton United is located on the main street of Castleton at 1815 Percy Rd. There are many events held there on a regular basis, including a roast beef dinner in March, a roast pork supper in October, and a Christmas Bazaar in November. Their "fun" fundraiser is for the "Holy Rollers" to gather together to make meat pies for sale.  Special worship services include Good Friday, a Candlelight Service on the Sunday evening prior to Christmas and the Church Anniversary is celebrated in late September.  The UCW meets once a month at the church or in a member's home. The sanctuary can be used for music recitals and concerts.

Biography - Rev. Jean Wilson (B.Sc., M. Div.)
The Castleton Grafton Pastoral Charge welcomes Rev. Jean Wilson as our interim minister while we are in search for a minister to permanently fill that role.

Rev. Jean was born and raised in Grafton, and studied to be a minister as her second career. After serving pastoral charges in the Bruce Peninsula and Prince Edward County, she retired and returned to her childhood home. As an interim minister, she has served locally for many churches in transition. Her experience in that capacity and her involvement in the wider church community will be invaluable as we move forward into the future.
