Ride an antique 1906 C.W. Parker Carousel

The Roseneath Carousel built in Abilene, Kansas, consists of
40 wooden horses
and two boats
of Herschell/Spillman or Armitage/Herschell on the centre row and Parker Jumpers on the outside and inside rows.

A Wurlitzer 125 Band Organ (with paper rolls)
strikes up the music.

Bought in 1932 by the Roseneath Agricultural Society, it continually operated during the annual Roseneath Fall Fair

By 1986, the ancient ride no longer met safety standards and it shut down.

The Carousel Restoration Committee embarked on a $400,000.00 fundraising project to restore the relic. July 17, 1993 marked the grand reopening. The fundraising continues. A new building to house and protect our museum quality, restored Carousel is still required.
