First of all, let me congratulate you on taking up the cause of informing the public re: coming elections.
I also suggest you hire someone to check your spelling and grammar. Though it is not a major cause for concern, when you misspell quotes from candidates readers will reflect on that in considerations.
As a long term Cobourg area resident (just moved in July) I wanted to point out that Marg Grundy has been involved in community activities since she moved to the area, many years ago, when I was still a kid. She, her husband Al, children and grandchildren reside in Cobourg, with the exception of me, her eldest daughter, Tammy.
In the last election, Marg did not place well because of the lousy voting turnout and because residents remain to stay uninformed. So many people do not trust change in any way. They ignore that all is changing around them and in return expect their lives to be unaffected.
Same old story, "My vote will not make a difference."
Take some time to get to know potential candidates and inform them of your concerns, questions and ideas. Perhaps most of the platforms are similar because residents are not asking for what they want.
Cobourg and the surrounding area is and will continue to be a wonderful place to live. Perhaps it is time it became a wonderful place to be. Be yourself, who you are, and be accepted, be heard.
And talk to Mom (Marg Grundy) she's always willing to listen and even give you feedback. You will be heard, I promise because I know her as well as anyone.
VOTE MARG GRUNDY AND YOU WILL BE HEARD.
Thank you for your time,
Sincerely, Tammy Lynn Grundy
