      T.J., Matt, Brandon, Kyle and Justin are the makers of this website. We are OAC students at the C.D.C.I West High School in Cobourg. We are doing this project because nobody else has studied the Northumberland Militia before. All our research has been compiled by the various letters that were written by the members of the Militia. Along with the website, the entire History class is digitizing the letters from the militiamen and eventually putting them on CD.  On an interesting note, there has been some controversy over an old building in Town (Cobourg, Ontario).  Most believe it to be a barracks for the Northumberland Militia during the War of 1812.  It is the hope of the class and our teacher, that we find evidence to prove that the building was once a barracks for the war.  This is also a good opportunity for all of us to say a big HELLO to all of you from Northumberland.  There are very few websites about the area.  Well thanks for dropping by and hope to see you soon.
