    1. CAJ-list — The Canadian Association of Journalists maintains several list servers for its members.

      The purpose of the main list server is to provide a forum for Canadian journalists on issues pertaining to all facets of journalism, including: trade craft, standards, ethics, media and related issues. The list is moderated; however, unless a posting is clearly off-topic or in some way could be perceived as abusive, the moderation is moderate. (See ListServ Rules.)

    2. WIM-list — The Canadian Association of Journalists maintains a list server for those interested in discussion issues of interest to women in journalism.

      The purpose of this list server is to provide a forum for women journalists on issues of interest to them. The list is moderated; however, unless a posting is clearly off-topic or in some way could be perceived as abusive, the moderation is moderate. (See ListServ Rules.)

    3. CANCAR-list — The Canadian Association of Journalists maintains a list server, through the facilities of Yahoo! Groups, for CAJ members intertested in Computer-Assisted Reporting.

      The purpose of this list server is to provide a forum for members to discuss CAR issues, including Freedom of Information access, database use and data conversion, spreadsheet design and use, Internet databases and searching, outstanding examples of using CAR to generate news stories, etc. The list is not moderated; however, if a posting is clearly off-topic or in some way could be perceived as abusive, the same rules and penalties which are used on the main CAJ list will apply. (See ListServ Rules.)

    4. CAJE-list — The Canadian Association of Journalists maintains a list server, through the facilities of Topica.Com, for its Journalism Educators' caucus.

      The purpose of this list server is to provide a forum for members of the CAJE caucus to discuss CAJE issues, including the current state of journalism education in Canada, course materials, program development, marking and evaluation, ethical issues, etc. use, Internet databases and searching, outstanding examples of using CAR to generate news stories, etc. The list is not moderated; however, if a posting is clearly off-topic or in some way could be perceived as abusive, the same rules and penalties which are used on the main CAJ list will apply.     5. CAJ Freelance-list — The Canadian Association of Journalists maintains a list server, through the facilities of Topica.Com, for its Freelancers' caucus.

      The purpose of this list server is to provide a forum for members of the CAJ Freelancers' caucus to discuss issues such as trade craft, employment and compensation issues, ethics and professional responsilbities, marketing and small business issues, etc. The list is not moderated; however, if a posting is clearly off-topic or in some way could be perceived as abusive, the same rules and penalties which are used on the main CAJ list will apply.
