With one of the best preserved historic main streets in Canada, a wealth of historic homes, wonderful antique and specialty shops, Port Hope is a destination all to itself.
Gore's Landing
Gore's Landing is steeped in the geological, cultural, First Nation and settlement history of Rice Lake and the Kawarthas. Victoria Inn is a gracious century-old inn overlooking the waters, islands and sunsets
of Rice Lake. The inn is a picturesque country retreat to those in search of peace and quiet. You'll feel as though you have gone back 100 years to a gentler time - floating on the lake in a canoe, fishing, swimming, relaxing with a good book, exploring the mission architecture of this unique home. The Inn specializes in fresh Canadian country cooking, using local meat, produce, game and fish, and caters to dietary preferences.
4 day package runs Sunday through Thursday, June 1 through Thanksgiving. The package can be customized for 5 days, should you want to spend an extra day in town or out in the country.
