Customized Travel Tours and Packages

For national or international visitors wishing to participate in an in-depth Kawartha Lakes Spirit Walk:

Tours can be self-guided, or customized for small groups of 10 to 18 people or 30 to 48 people - of all ages and interests. These special visits can be combined with varying levels of outdoor activity; artisan tours and workshops; or boat cruises.

Activities are set out in one-day or half-day components that can be mixed and matched. Outings can be arranged according to expertise. All guides are very experienced. Support vehicles and cell phones are always on hand, and alternative routes or stops can be made at any time.

Participants can determine how much free time they want. For multi-day tours, all accommodation, meals and snacks, equipment, transport for people and equipment, guiding services, entry fees, taxes and gratuities are included.

Meals and dining venues are chosen specifically to match and enhance the activity. No liquor is included, but is available. Guests will stay overnight at country inns, depending on where the day's activities start or end.

Inclusions:
  • Overnight accommodation at Inns on the way

  • Three meals each day, focusing on 'native-inspired' cuisine and local produce

  • Guided tours of the First Nation community of Alderville, the 2000 year old Indian burial ground of Serpent Mounds, the aboriginal artistic community at Curve Lake and the Teaching Rocks of the Petroglyphs.

Optional Activities:
  • Boat cruises on Rice Lake and the Trent-Severn Waterway (a 10,000 year old canoe trip!)

  • Guided cycling or canoeing trips

  • Golfing or guided fishing trips

  • Try aerotriking!

  • Horse back riding

  • Dog sledding or snowmobiling in the winter

  • Visits to local artisan studios and specialty farms

  • Workshops in Paddle Making, Paddle Painting, Drum Making, 'Art in the Wilds', Beadwork and Medicine Bags

Cost: $100 to $400/person/day based on double occupancy
